KISS says a ‘Farewell’ to Manchester at the AO Arena

Kiss came to Manchester on their ‘End of the Road’ world tour, maybe…..I saw Kiss this year in France, 4 years after their final ever French show at Hellfest.

They brought support from The Wild Things and Skindred.

I’ve never seen The Wild Things before but the British band were spot on. Sydney Rae White and Rob Kendrick were so mesmerising on stage I actually didn’t shoot any photos of members Cameron White and Pete Wheeler. Oops….

Sydney and Rob have previously worked together on the stage version of Quadrophenia back in 2009 and Pete Townsend actually helped produce their 2021 single ‘Only Attraction’

With their 90s Rock sound I would really recommend you catch them at a show soon. They have a show at Manchester’s Night and Day in October but I worry Guitarist Rob may end up in the street, he zips all over the stage. I will defo visit that show.

Next up were Skindred. The Welsh Rockers fronted by Benji Webbe are always expected to put a good show on and they didn’t disappoint.

Playing to a crowd who obviously loved Skindred, they played That’s my Jam, Kill the Power and Gimme that Boom and even a few verses of Wonderwall.

Skindred are 100% original and you know where you are when you are doing the Newport Helicopter. Brilliant show.

To the headline act, KISS. This was my 4th time seeing the KISS extravaganza since 2019 and each time they were out of this world.

I am now used to the voices so much that if this really is the end I will be gutted. No other band apart from maybe Rammstein offers so much fire, smoke and confetti.

The thing I remember most about KISS and their image is from Family Guy Episodes………..oooooooh Hi Gene, I didn’t know you were here..

I wasnt particularly here to review KISS, I think it’s easy to say the pics do the talking with KISS.

KISS have left Manchester with a fantastic farewell, from the support to the Pyro Packed super show, this was a night I will never forget.
