Delain
O2 Ritz Manchester
Friday 7th February 2020
Delain played on Friday night at the Manchester O2 Ritz with support from supergroup Cyhra, Swedish heavy metal band made up of ex members of In Flames, Amaranthe, Annihilator/Axxis and Shining.
I really enjoyed this band, the music was loud and the singer Joacim oozed personality, getting the crowd involved, especially with the catchy track Out Of My Life from their recent album No Halos In Hell.
Having seen Delain here about 3 years ago the crowd has gotten considerably bigger along with Charlottes voice. Wearing one of her trademark short sparkly dresses and chatting to the crowd throughout the show she endeared herself to both old and new fans.
The Dutch symphonic metal band released their new album Apocalypse And Chill on this day, and just before they played the first of many from this album Charlotte asked the crowd if they had had chance to listen to it yet. An astounding roar of ‘YES’ came back at her to which she replied ‘well I guess we can’t f**k any of the songs up if you know them’. The set was full of both new and old tracks, plenty of hair whipping, great music and a whole lot of fun, it was also the first time they played new song We Had Everything live.
