Excited? Me? Absolutely! Louder Than War have announced the line-up for their one day ‘Louder Than War Live’ event that takes place at Manchester Academy on Saturday March 14th.
Without exaggerating this has the potential to be the best, most exciting one day musical event of 2026. If you love your post punk/dark electronica/experimental noise and indie music then you’d be a fool to miss this. Bands you’ll be well aware of and bands you should be well aware of play this multi-venue event. But in this case multi-venue does not mean trekking all over the place. All venues are a mere few seconds stroll from each other within the Academy complex.
Louder Than War has been committed to promoting independent music and culture for over 15 years and is particularly great at bringing to our attention bands that push boundaries, sounds that without people like those at LTW we might otherwise miss. Just take a look at their albums of the year posts and you’ll understand what we mean.
And what better place to hold this event than Manchester. A city that for decades has had music running throught it’s veins.
Finally consider this – how many quality bands can you see nowadays for £45? Now take another look at this line-up. This really isn’t a case of “there’s four or five bands I want to see”. This is a definite case of how can I get to see every band on that list?
