This years Hellfest at first was to me a little underwhelming like a few others BUT the more I looked at the Line Up Poster, the more I like. Sadly a lot of us judge a festival on its Headliners and to be fair some festivals dont offer much before the Headliners.
Hellfest has always been different, as well as the Massive bands they always put on, it’s always the other stages that seem to be more epic. When I was last there in 2023 every stage had a massive crowd, the tents were always full with plenty more outside.
This year’s Headliners Korn, Muse, Scorpions and Linkin Park offer a great variety as Rock Headliners, the Co-Headliners are always epic too with Electric Callboy, Within Temptation, Judas Priest and Falling in Reverse. That there is 8 very good bands just for starters on the Main Stage……. add to them Til Lindemann, Dream Theater, The Hu, The Cult, Myles Kennedy and many more.
As for the smaller stages, Knocked Loose, Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, Jinjer, Orange Goblin, Leprous, Soft Play and The Damned.
The Damned followed by The Sex Pistols in the Warzone has special written all over it. I am really looking forward to this one now with a lot of bands I’ve never seen……
