Deer Shed Festival has announced more artists for it’s 2026 event.
Quite possibly the most family friendly festival of the summer we have, in the past, said that it’s entirely possible for the children of parents attending the festival to not see a single band and still have the best weekend of their life. For everyone else Deer Shed is about the music, the feeling of inclusiveness, the feeling of it being a completely safe festival. Deer Shed have now announced the second wave of artists to be added to an already superb line-up.
Read on for more information. But be quick if you want a ticket. This is a festival that sells out every year and 60% of tickets for 2026 have already gone.
Deer Shed have announced the second wave of artists performing at the much-loved, independent and all-ages festival this summer. DEADLETTER, Joshua Idehen, Madra Salach, Lime Garden, Brown Horse and Murkage Dave lead a lineup of exciting acts joining previously announced 2026 headliners Sleaford Mods, Everything Everything and Say She She as well as special guestsThe Twilight Sad and Fat Dog in North Yorkshire this July.
Following last year’s sell-out 15th anniversary celebration featuring old friends and new; Deer Shed are looking to the future of music with a diverse showcase of emergent and rising acts from across the musical spectrum. Originally from Yorkshire but now London-based, DEADLETTERchannel the wry rage of The Fall through the rhythmic lope of likeminded Yorkshiremen Gang of Four to produce post-punk with an urgent, captivating clarity. Also announced today is the Sweden-based, British-born Nigerian spoken word artist and musician Joshua Idehen who will be showcasing the unique host of creative influences and experiences that have kept him in high demand with acts including the Mercury Award nominated The Comet Is Coming, Sons of Kemet and, most recently, L.A.’s electronic music legend Daedelus.
Fast-rising six-piece contemporary folk band Madra Salach came together from various Dublin indie outfits and bonded over a shared love of the Irish trad folk canon to write thematically modern yet timeless slices of traditional Irish folk music whilst, hailing from different shores, Brighton’s self-styled ‘wonk pop’ outfit Lime Garden will be performing tracks from their acclaimed debut One More Thing, released through tastemaker label So Young.
Fresh off the back of an extensive European tour in support of their much anticipated and highly-praised sophomore album, All The Right Weaknesses, Norwich-based country-rock collective Brown Horse will be bringing their tried and true blend of slacker rock twang and alt-country lilt to Baldersby Park, whereas the genre-defiant singer and songwriter Murkage Dave will be kitbashing pop, indie and UK garage together with his uncompromising and introspective storytelling honed after supporting longtime friends of Deer Shed Festival Yard Act on their European Tour.
Today’s live music announcement also features Oneda, Seamus Fogarty, Plantoid, Curiosity Shop, Little Grandad, MUCO, James Adrian-Brown and Kayla Painter.
Not just known for its incredible live music lineups year on year, Deer Shed is renowned for its comedy billings, with the festival a regular summer stop for stand up legends and rising stars alike. Details on who will be joining previously announced comedy headliners comedy icon Stewart Lee, beloved comedian and broadcaster Adam Buxton and award-winning satirist and Mash Report Star Rachel Parris will be announced soon.
Deer Shed will also be sharing further details on its unique programme of Sport, Cinema, Theatre and Literary & Performance Arts programmes very soon as well as even more information about this year’s festival theme, Into The Labyrinth, and the sprawling maze soon to be erected in Baldersby Park; the festival’s most ambitious build to date.
Reinvigorated after its sell-out fifteenth birthday last year, still as proudly independent as ever and with over 60% of this year’s tickets already sold, the team behind Deer Shed festival are gearing up to transform Baldersby Park back into a labyrinth of colour and community that celebrates contemporary music, comedy and cultural creativity.
