Alice Cooper Brings His Horror Show to Leeds Arena

I’d never seen Alice Cooper live before and was really looking forward to this. Having seen Hollywood Vampires at Hellfest last year I thought it was way passed time for Alice Cooper. I’m only familiar with a few of his songs but the reputation that proceeds him was always going to get me to a gig.

I didn’t arrive in time from Manchester to see any of the support acts, which was a shame.

When the lights went down for Alice Cooper to come on stage the Leeds crowd went bonkers and I’ll admit when I was taking the pics for this review I got Starstruck. Legend much.

I was treated to Welcome to the Show, No More Mr Nice Guy and I’m Eighteen while I was taking pictures, the energy on stage was immense. The crowd were well up for it too.

I took time to stow my gear and grab a pint. I always choose Leeds for Arena gigs over Manchester for numerous reasons. Leeds staff are very friendly, the City Centre is always lively too.

Another big reason is the sound, I’ve been there about 8 times now and the sound quality has always been spot on.

Noticable tunes I heard during the performance was Snakebite, Hey Stoopid, Poison, Feed my Frankenstein and obviously Schools Out. Considering how long Alice Cooper has been touring I was truly shocked at how lively the gig was and how big the set was.

My highlight of the night was when a fan came on stage and one of the Demony people came on stage, cut her throat ( not really obv ) then dragged her off stage.

He totally hits my sense of humour.

I will definitely go see him again and will be familiar with more songs to sing to. The best Horror Show around was in Leeds and I was so glad I was there.

Thank You Alice Cooper and also Leeds.
